The Trail Light saddles are lightweight weighing 17 lbs. They are very easy to put on the horse and take off as well as lighten the weight your horse carries. English or western rigging is available to suit any riders needs.

Trail Light Saddle

The Trail Light is a Lightweight Trail Saddle that’s adaptable, comfortable, and lightweight. The Trail Light Saddle delivers on all counts—crafted at just 17 lbs, easy to single-handedly saddle, and gentle on your horse’s back. Offered in both English and Western rigging, it adjusts to your preferred riding style effortlessly.

Setting it apart is the short, rounded butterfly-style skirt, designed to enhance rider contact and freedom of movement without excess material. Added comfort comes from a soft padded seat extending to your mid-thigh, and you can switch between fleece, suede, or smooth leather seat options using the easy-to-use hook-and-loop system.

Enjoy a custom fit with included ¾″ fitting cushions and a full shim/insert kit, and if you want precision from the start, you can order our Fitting Kit—just send us your horse’s measurements, and we’ll pre-fit your saddle before it’s even shipped.

    These are examples of our hand tooled saddles. No two are exactly alike as they are hand crafted once ordered. If you move your mouse to the lower right hand corner you will see a magnifying glass - click that to zoom.

    Please add your inseam in the text box. Stand straight against a wall and measure from the pubic bone to the ankle to find your inseam if you do not know it.. Have a friend help you for accurate measurement if you are unsure.

    Please note that aluminum stirrups are for traditional fenders only!

    If you would like us to pre-fit your saddle - add the fitting kit.

    Optional Accessories

    Everything below is optional, and you are not required to "select" anything. These are nice extras for your saddle! You can click the undo button  undo button  the on the far right to reset your choice.

    The premium sheepskin seat cover goes over the top of your seat and is secured with 4 screws.  It can be easily removed with a phillips screw driver. 

    Optional Breast Collar can be added in either plain, or to match the tooling of your saddle.
