Become a TW Saddlery & Specialized Saddles Representative

At Specialized Saddles and TW Saddlery, our representatives are more than saddle salespeople—they are horse people, riders, educators, and advocates for horse comfort.

Our saddles are built around one simple belief: every horse deserves a saddle that fits correctly. Because proper saddle fit is at the heart of everything we do, we are selective about who represents our brand.

We are looking for riders who are passionate about helping horses, educating fellow riders, and sharing the benefits of our adjustable saddle systems with their local equestrian communities.


We Believe Experience Matters

Before becoming a representative, applicants must have owned and ridden in a Specialized Saddles or TW Saddlery saddle for at least one year.

Why?

Because we want our representatives to speak from experience.

The best representatives are riders who have personally experienced the comfort, adjustability, and benefits of our saddles and are excited to share those experiences with others.

We aren’t looking for people who simply want to sell saddles—we are looking for people who genuinely believe in what we do.

Becoming a Representative is Simple

🐴 1. Gain Experience
Ride in a Specialized Saddles or TW Saddlery saddle for at least one year.

🪑 2. Build Your Demo Program
Purchase two saddles and begin learning our fitting system.

🎓 3. Complete Training
Attend in-person training in Tazewell, TN or complete virtual training.

📸 4. Submit Your First Three Fittings
Our fitting team reviews your work and provides guidance.

🤝 5. Start Helping Horses & Riders
Begin serving customers in your local equestrian community.


Your First Step

To ensure representatives have real-world experience and demonstration saddles available for customers to try, new representatives begin by purchasing two saddles at retail price.

These saddles become the foundation of your demonstration program and allow you to gain valuable experience fitting different horses while giving potential customers the opportunity to try our saddles.

Having multiple saddles available helps create a better experience for both the representative and the rider.


Professional Training

Every representative completes our saddle fitting training program before fitting customers independently.

In-Person Training

Join us at our headquarters in Tazewell, Tennessee for hands-on instruction.

Training includes:

  • Understanding equine back anatomy
  • Evaluating horse conformation
  • Saddle placement
  • Using our adjustable fitting system
  • Shim selection and placement
  • Rider balance considerations
  • Photo Fit evaluations
  • Customer consultations
  • Hands-on fitting experience

Virtual Training

Unable to travel?

We also offer comprehensive virtual training that covers the same fitting principles and procedures through guided instruction and real-world fitting examples.


We Don’t Expect You To Be An Expert On Day One

Our representatives receive ongoing support from our team. Whether you’re evaluating your first saddle fitting or helping a customer choose between models, we’re here to help.

You’ll have direct access to experienced fitters and decades of saddle fitting knowledge.


Mentorship & Support

Learning saddle fitting takes practice, and we’re committed to helping new representatives succeed.

To ensure confidence and consistency, the first three saddle fittings completed by every new representative are reviewed by our fitting team.

During this process we will:

  • Evaluate fitting photos
  • Review shim placement
  • Offer recommendations
  • Answer questions
  • Provide coaching and feedback

Our goal is to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to provide exceptional service to every customer.


Ongoing Expectations

Representatives are expected to actively promote and support Specialized Saddles and TW Saddlery products within their local equestrian communities.

To maintain representative status, representatives must:

  • Complete training requirements
  • Maintain professional customer service standards
  • Sell a minimum of five saddles during their first twelve months as a representative (including their initial two saddle purchases)
  • Sell a minimum of five saddles annually thereafter
