While the Classic Wade features the traditional A-fork Wade pommel, the Texas Wade incorporates a classic western-style pommel that many riders feel provides added upper leg support and stability without the need for separate bucking rolls. Riders often describe the Texas Wade Saddle as offering a naturally secure feel similar to built-in bucking rolls while still maintaining the shorter skirt and practical post horn associated with traditional Wade saddles.

The Texas Wade Saddle is built on TW Saddlery’s patented adjustable fitting system, allowing the saddle to continue adapting as your horse changes condition over time.

Each saddle includes fitting cushions and a full shim/insert kit to help fine-tune fit, balance, and pressure distribution across the horse’s back. Unlike traditional adjustable saddles that only change gullet width, the Texas Wade can be adjusted independently on each side to better accommodate asymmetry, shoulder differences, muscle development, and seasonal condition changes.

How do I get the best fit for my horse?

For the most precise fit, many riders choose to order our Fit Kit along with their saddle. Before your saddle is bilt, we’ll send the Fit Kit so you can take measurements and photos of your horse. Once your saddle is ready to ship, we use those measurements to pre-fit the saddle to your horse before it leaves our shop.

After your saddle arrives, we also follow up through our Photo Fit process to help fine-tune balance, shim placement, and overall fit as needed.
