The TW Saddlery Ultra Secure Aussie combines the security and stability of a traditional Australian saddle with the lightweight comfort, adjustability, and close-contact feel TW Saddlery is known for. Featuring traditional Aussie-style poleys, a secure seat, and lightweight design, the Ultra Secure Aussie is built for riders who want added confidence and stability on the trail without the excessive bulk and weight of many traditional Australian saddles.

Starting at approximately 18 lbs, the Ultra Secure Aussie is easy to saddle, easier on your horse’s back, and comfortable for long hours in the saddle. Built on TW Saddlery’s patented adjustable fitting system, this lightweight Australian saddle can be fine-tuned to your horse over time while maintaining a secure and balanced ride for the rider.

The Ultra Secure Aussie is built on TW Saddlery’s patented adjustable fitting system, allowing the saddle to continue adapting as your horse changes condition over time.

Each saddle includes fitting cushions and a full shim/insert kit to help fine-tune fit, balance, and pressure distribution across the horse’s back. Unlike traditional adjustable saddles that only change gullet width, the Ultra Secure Aussie can be adjusted independently on each side to better accommodate asymmetry, shoulder differences, muscle development, and seasonal condition changes.

The open spinal channel, flare through the shoulder and loin area, and adjustable support system help reduce pressure while encouraging freedom of movement and long-mile comfort.

How do I get the best fit for my horse?

For the most precise fit possible, many riders choose to order our Fit Kit along with their saddle. Before your saddle is built, we’ll send you our At-Home Fit Kit so you can take measurements and tracings of your horse’s back. Those measurements are then used to pre-shim and fine-tune the fit of the saddle to your horse before it leaves our shop.

After your saddle arrives, we also follow up through our Photo Fit process to help fine-tune balance, shim placement, and overall fit as needed.
